if you like guitar gear, here's a useful person.
this guy is so easy to work with and is super cheap for the tools he offers to guitarist who are constantly looking for ways to “mod” and “better” your pedal board. he’s a worship leader, too. check him out. make an excuse to use his stuff. you won’t be sorry. i know i’m not.

sad …
… after reading a facebook conversation. these conversations make me want to delete my facebook account altogether. i’d rather stay innocent or blinded of hateful, ignorant, and prideful words than to know what’s really going on in people’s hearts.
sad.
we all need Jesus so badly.

hmm … red flags
i find that the more opinionated and outspoken i become whether in my thoughts or actions, the more difficult it is to deal with my equally growing pride and self-righteousness.
what are your red flags?

finally, a “decent” painting with no nude-y men. :)

my quiet time
yes, it rocked me again.
perhaps maybe every christian should read the book of romans a bit more often. the specific book in my bible is wrought with ink, highlighter, and tears. maybe we should have a dose of the basics of why and how we are saved. maybe we need to learn and re-learn, read and re-read, and truly live out our obligation according to our salvation given to us by Christ Jesus - to live according to the Spirit in obedience.
do you truly know why and how you are saved? well, of course you do! right? if you aren’t passionate in regards to your answer to my question about why and how you are saved, maybe you should read or re-read romans.
be encouraged, my friends. just do yourselves a favor and let God remind you via His word about His insane love towards you.

my quiet time this afternoon. please, understand that this is me writing/struggling with opposing thoughts and words. this is growth - not a statement.
romans 6:21 niv “what benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? those things result in death! but now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.”
the reasoning paul uses while writing this letter is so convincing but yet it seems ironic that most christians including me tend to “return to” our “own vomit” (proverbs 26:11). and still, i don’t want to use the excuse that ‘there’s always enough grace.’ while there is more than enough, the previous (vs. 15) reads “what then? shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? by no means!”
right now i weep because of my weakness and sob over my constant battle between righteousness and vomit. maybe that’s why God has placed me in such a serious mood from early this morning.
while i am not looking for any consolation, i do recognize that i may need to read on despite my sadness. somedays, God just sends you a couple of verses that unearth shadows in your life. the unearthing done by a sharp sword - painful.
as of right now, i am resting in the comfort of my Father’s death and resurrection knowing that i, too, will be resurrected and delivered from this body someday.
the bible. romans 6:15-23
